Gary Oldman call’s it a day?

Not an official announcement as of yet, but a sad portent non the less.

It seem’s like the fantastic Gary Oldman is getting close to hanging up his acting spurs, citing a falling out of love of his craft as the reason.

One of cinema’s quintessential ‘baddies’, Oldman also made the move into directing with 1997s ultra grim ‘Nil By Mouth’ which he also wrote.

He was quoted as saying…"I've had a great career and I'm very lucky to do what I do. But I've been doing it a long time and you can get tired. You might say I want to change careers or to do something else."

Let’s hope the lad has a change of heart. His amazing screen presence would be sadly missed.  I'll just say 'Leon' to you. Let your memories do the rest!

Look out for him playing Lt James Gordon in next years Batman outing ‘The Dark Knight’ it might be his last?
